This is my first bloom day. With a cool June and two weeks of mostly gray and rain...here's what was blooming this morning.
In order top to bottom: Thermopsis caroliniana, Clematis sp. (a rescue, not sure of cultivar), Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle', and one of many Lychnis coronaria.

Happy first Bloom Day! It can become addicting. What is that first flower? It's spectacular!
I second Kim. Happy first bloom day. You photos are beautiful.
Kim & Mlc--Thanks for making me feel welcome. I labeled the plants btw!
Happy Bloom Day, glad you participated. I read on down to your Garden of Lost Plants and find it commendable that you grow what you use for clients. They should appreciate what they're NOT getting.
That first flower would go well with all the other yellow flowers in my garden right now. I have none that tall (I assume it's tall). But I would wonder if it is hardy in zone 5b because I've never seen anyone grow it around here.
Thanks for joining in for bloom day!

Check out Clematis on the Web to figure out which Clematis you have. What ever it is, it's beautiful.
